Tasting Notes | TASTING NOTESPour yourself a glassAromaElegant, with colour changing naturally from a pretty raspberry hint to salmon-pink in the glass. The bouqet offered is precise and very crisp with a wide range of small red fruits: strawberries, redcurrants, raspberries and black cherries. Its amazing freshness is the dominating note. PalateBattling (literally) through Two World Wars and almost going broke because of it, while one of the owner’s sons, Bernard de Nonancourt, was part of the armored division that stormed Hitler’s wine cave and discovered a half a million bottles of hidden wine! The palate is intensely fruity, clean, well-defined and slightly sharp, the wine then opens up to provide an impression of plunging into a basket of freshly picked red berries: strawberries, Morello cherries, blackcurrants and raspberries. The wine is supple and rounded on the finish. Bottle includes 2 x wine glasses. Serving SuggestionsA Champagne this good deserves a beautiful platter of all sorts of cheeses, fruits and light meats. |
