Growers Range

Have you heard of the great Growers Range produced by our friends at Isabel Estate? If you have, it’s time to share the secret and let the crowds know.

Growers by Isabel Estate is a range of wine that highlights the exceptional single vineyard sites from across the beloved Marlborough region. Working closely with growers from selected sub-regions in Marlborough who share the same values and dedication in producing the most pure and expressive fruit.

Let’s take a look into the growers wine range, which includes four bold drops that our team highly rate (especially the Like Vines Sauvignon Blanc and Like Vines Chardonnay) If you’re looking for quality and sharp prices, this is what you need to get your hands on.

"While Sauvignon Blanc is the number 1 wine variety around here, NZ also produces exceptional Chardonnay, especially from the Rapaura sub region."

Located in the golden triangle itself, the Like Vines range and in particular this vintage, has truly lived up to that name.

Like Vines

Marlborough Chardonnay

The Vineyard:

In the Wairau plains sub-region of Marlborough lies Rapaura, traditionally referred to as 'the Golden triangle' where Heather and Milton Staples hand-tended Walnut Flat Vineyard is located. The warm stony site allows for extended ripening, producing beautiful full flavoured and richly concentrated fruit.

Tasting notes:

The aroma is elevated, filled with the essence of ripe nectarines, apricots, brioche, and toasted hazelnuts, all complemented by a subtle touch of flinty complexity. On the palate, you'll find a medley of stone fruits, delicate honeysuckle, and a pleasingly intricate nutty character imparted by the natural fermentation process. It boasts impressive depth and concentration, leading to a wonderfully refreshing, lingering finish.

Paring:

Pairs beautifully with fish and seafood such as pan-seared salmon.

Like Vines

Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc

The Vineyard:

Situated on a river terrace plateau in the Waihopai Valley sits Richard and Ana Laugesans Craiglochart vineyard. Its elevation allows for perfect ripening time on the vine, and its unique terroir produces wonderfully expressive fruit.

Tasting Notes:

Pale lemon in colour. Vibrant aromas of fresh passionfruit, fully ripened citrus, and vibrant lime. Complementing these primary notes are nuances of dried herbs, lemongrass, and a touch of blackcurrant. A densely concentrated palate offers exceptional fruit purity and enduring presence. It delights with its remarkable texture, filling the mouth generously, and concludes with a prolonged and energetic finish.

Pairing:

A wonderful choice with herb-driven sauces over chicken, tofu, or fish dishes.
