The Mighty Bloody Mary

A cocktail that is not for everyone's taste buds, but one for many mixed reactions and funny faces. The Bloody Mary was a 'spur of the moment' creation in the early 1900's. Back in the day, the Bloody Mary was made up with only two ingredients, vodka and tomato juice which was originally called a 'Bucket of Blood' Yikes! Over in the states, the Bloody Mary was a well known 'go to' for a hangover cure.. not so sure if our stomachs would handle that on a slow morning but hey could be worth a shot! These days, Bloody Mary's are commonly a start of the night drink to warm your insides so if you are up for it, give it a try!

Ingredients:

45 ml Absolut Vodka
150 ml Tomato Juice
4 Dashes of Hot Sauce (less if you want less heat)
10 ml Worcestershire Sauce
10 ml Lemon Juice
1 Pinch of Pepper
1 Pinch of Garlic Salt
Lemon Wedge
1 Celery Stick

Instructions:

1. Fill your glass with ice.
2. Pour your vodka and tomato juice over the ice.
3. Add in 4 dashes of your hot sauce following with your Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice and pepper.
4. Mix the ingredients together and get your shake on.
5. Add a pinch of garlic salt on top and garnish with your celery stick and lemon wedge.

HOT TIP: If you want to make your cocktail that little bit more impressive, instead of using the traditional garnishes, add a olive, lime wedge or pickle instead!
