Created way back in 1973 by Tom Jago for Gilbeys or Ireland. The idea was brought to life when he combined two of the most famous exports of Ireland: Whiskey and cream.

Ingredients:

50ml Baileys, 25ml Espresso, 25ml Vodka, 3 Coffee Beans

Ingredients:

50ml Baileys, 30ml Irish Whiskey, Scoop of Cream

It is a beautiful cream liqueur meaning it has a blend of cream and alcohol. The base alcohol of this Irish Liqueur is Irish whiskey which is then mixed with dairy cream and other flavourings.

Is Baileys a strong alcohol?

Compared to other spirits like whiskey, vodka or rum it isn't a very strong alcohol. However Baileys typically has an alcohol by volume (ABV) of 17% which is much lower then 40% like other spirits.

Baileys can last up to two years without refrigeration because of the blend of Whiskey and cream. However, we recommend drinking Baileys within 6 months of opening for the optimal flavours we all love.
