Cape Campbell Chardonnay 2021, Marlborough
Beautiful, rich Chardonnay
The uniquely striped Cape Campbell lighthouse stands sentinel at the southern entrance to New Zealand's Cook Strait. At the same latitude is Cape Campbell's original vineyard - it's unique because it was the first in the Blind River sub-region of Marlborough's Awatere Valley.
This delicious Chardonnay combines fruit brightness with texture and complexity. It has lovely white-peach and citrus aromas while the smooth, richly-fruited palate delivers beautiful weight and body. An elegant wine to be enjoyed now and over the next few years.
4 Stars - Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
"Elegantly complex and inviting, the bouquet shows apricot, baked fig, flint and nougat characters on the nose. It's beautifully rounded and supple on the palate, displaying fleshy texture and creamy mouthfeel, making it fabulously drinkable. At its best: now to 2023".
