Odd Socks SEA Semillon Chardonnay Chenin Blanc 2011
South Eastern Australian plonk that will blow ya socks off...
This blend would be considered eccentric in the old world but at Berton Vineyards they look for the unusual coming together of differant varietals in order to produce wines that are special.
The semillion chardonnay chenin blanc has aromas of fresh citrus and integrated with generous lime and passiofruit flavours that go on forever. Serve with spicy chicken and vegetable stir fry dishes.
In purchasing all parcels of wine we consult with Peter Saunders Long time wine critic and author of 25 editions of A Guide to New Zealand Wine. He had this to say "All-purpose warm-day quaffer; keep a bottle in the fridge for friends and relies who drop by and enjoy as a dry-tasting white without commitments to grape variety or region. Quite food-friendly"
