Pale straw with vibrant golden hues. Showing aromas of wild flowers, peach and citrus on the nose. On the palate a soft and elegant mouth feel with an explosion of generous floral flavours, pears and apple, leaving a long fresh finish.
In purchasing export labels we consult with Peter Saunders Long time wine critic and author of 25 editions of A Guide to New Zealand Wine. He had this to say A wine which satisfies the definition of Pinot Gris coming in many shapes and styles! This one well spined, quite robust, lots of life; dry and showing a little austerity – like a close relative of Chardonnay. It is not like NZ Pinot Gris but nothing wrong with that: 14% alcohol, two years of age, pretty dry. Food will show it best.
A classic cool climate style from the Adelaide Hills, packed with citrus fruit & mellowed with age. Great drinking, fantastic price point.
