Wandering River Hawke's Bay Chardonnay 2008 Produced by Trinity Hill
A very nice easy-drinking Chardonnay, not sweet but nicely smooth on the palate and generous in the fruit Light golden colour; some light oak condiments apparent but not dominant, a rounded, true-to-variety style.
When we are offered small parcels of wine we often consult with Peter Saunders, long time wine critic, and author of 25 editions of A guide to New Zealand wine. His thoughts are "A deliciously appealing smooth style of dry Chardonnay; great for a lazy afternoon or with light food courses with its strength of flavours and rounded, very approachable drinkability. No hurry into 2013".
