Judge Rock Venus Central Otago Pinot Noir 2008

Michael Cooper´s review in his 2010 edition " cherry spice and herb aromas & flavours showing some complexity elegance and charm" rates it 3!/2 stars. The wine has a bronze medal from the Liquorland top 100 and a Silver medal from the New World wine awards.

The Judge Rock Venus Pinot displays a spectrum of flavours which includes; red fruits, violets, savoury mushroom & floral & earthy notes with layers of silky soft tannins.

When we are offered small parcels of wine we often consult with Peter Saunders, long time wine critic, and author of 25 editions of A guide to New Zealand wine. His thoughts are "Very well fruited and nicely balanced, ready for drinking. A excellent weight to this wine is not heavy yet more than adequate with a range of food courses. Judge Rock is a top Pinot Noir producer and this secondary label underlines this at a very good price".
