This wine has a rich, dark plum aroma with a hint of spice. The palate contains good weight of cherries, plum & dark fruit cake with nutty overtones.

Peter Saunders long time wine critic and author of 25 edtions of a guide to New Zealand wine. He had this to say "Dry, robust red with full alcohol. Tannin and oak nicely balanced (not over-done) and plenty of warm Merlot characters for hearty winter cooking. Drinking well now into 2013"
