Smokehouse Bay Hawkes Bay Cab Merlot 2008

We searched every where for a decent Cabernet Merlot blend to satisfy our loyal tightwads & came across this beauty from Hawkes Bay. Get ya chops around this & impress the neighbours immediatly, you will not get better value anywhere.

This wine shows lovely brambly, blackberry notes in a soft easy drinking style. Hints of mint & blackcurrent add further complexity making it an ideal summer wine.

In purchasing parcels of wine we consult with Peter Saunders Long time wine critic and author of 25 edtions of "A Guide to New Zealand Wine". He had this to say "Quite a tasty yet smooth red, youthful, alive and with lots to offer a hearty-flavoured meal from beef-steak to spicy pizza. Nicely balanced, lots of flavour".
